Rehab Aide

Entry level, and the best year of preparation you can get before physical therapy school.

Use us as a stepping stone. Seriously.

You are heading to PT school, or deciding whether to. Observation hours in a clinic that runs six patients an hour will teach you how to hustle. They will not teach you how anybody gets better.

Motion Matters Physical Therapy and Wellness is a woman-owned practice in North Liberty where every patient is seen one-on-one by a licensed physical therapist, every visit. Stand close to that for a year and you will start school understanding what most of your classmates will spend two years figuring out.

The owner has 24 years of experience and a fellowship in pain science. The clinical team meets monthly to teach each other, and you will be in the room for it.

Send My Application. One email to the owner is the whole process. Details are at the bottom of this page.

What you would do

  • Learn the ins and outs of how a physical therapy clinic actually works.
  • Bring patients back for their sessions and help the therapy team stay on time.
  • Keep the clinic clean and organized, because the room is part of the care.
  • Follow the therapists' instructions, schedule patients, transfer calls, handle the daily tasks.
  • Have a lot of fun while making a real difference in someone's life.

What we need from you

  • High school diploma or an equivalent level certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Computerized scheduling and billing, and transferring phone calls.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Some exposure to physical therapy is preferred, not required.

This job fits someone who is

  • Future minded, using this as a stepping stone before physical therapy school.
  • Dependable, more reliable than spontaneous.
  • People-oriented, and glad about it.
  • Adaptable, because some days shift direction.
  • Detail-oriented, and loyal to the people next to you.

Pay, benefits, and the parts people actually ask about

Compensation is competitive, and we talk about it with you directly instead of posting a number that means nothing. We would rather you not need a second job to make rent, because burnout costs everybody.

  • Medical, dental and vision
  • 401k
  • Accrued PTO
  • Holiday pay
  • CEU reimbursement, and unlimited CEUs
  • Structured mentorship, not a handshake and a login
  • Flexible schedule, part-time or full-time, built around your life

Who this is not for

If you want a corner to hide in with your phone, skip this one. Small clinic, everybody moves. But if you want a letter of recommendation that says something specific about you, this is how you get one.
