Accessibility Statement

Motion Matters Physical Therapy and Wellness is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology.

Conformance Target

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and more usable for everyone.

Measures We Have Taken

This site was built, and then separately audited and remediated, with accessibility as a requirement, not an afterthought. That work includes:

  • A skip-to-content link, clear landmark regions, and a logical heading structure on every page.
  • Descriptive alternative text on photos, and meaningful labels on every form field.
  • Full keyboard access to the menu, the accordions, the body map, and both the booking and insurance-check forms, including visible focus indicators and a proper focus trap on the mobile menu.
  • Color combinations checked against WCAG's minimum contrast ratios, with any that fell short corrected.
  • Motion that respects your operating system's "reduce motion" setting, and that never traps or permanently hides content if a visitor's browser cannot run our scripts.
  • A pause control on every auto-scrolling review ticker.
  • Regular testing with automated tools and by navigating the site using only a keyboard.

We do not use, and will not add, an accessibility overlay widget. Those tools do not reliably fix underlying code, and we would rather do the work directly.

Ongoing Review

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review this site's accessibility whenever we add or change a page, and we re-check the full site periodically even when nothing has changed, since browsers, assistive technology, and guidelines all keep evolving.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some parts of this site are not fully within our control:

  • Google reviews widget. The "Live From Google" reviews panel on our homepage is provided by a third-party service (Elfsight) that pulls reviews directly from Google. We cannot fully verify or control the accessibility of that embedded widget's internal behavior. Every review shown there is also readable in full on our Google Business Profile (opens in a new tab).
  • Sign-up form embeds. Our education and yoga sign-up pages embed third-party registration forms. If one of these does not load or is hard to use with your assistive technology, the phone number and call/text option on that same page reaches a real person who can register you directly.
  • Google Maps embeds. The interactive map on our location and contact pages is provided by Google. Our full street address is always given in plain text alongside it.
