Your hour. Not shared.
No techs bouncing between rooms, no handoffs mid-visit. Just you and a licensed physical therapist, the whole time.
About Motion Matters Physical Therapy and Wellness
Most clinics manage your symptoms and call it a plan. We built this place to end them: one-on-one, with a licensed physical therapist, every single visit.
Our Story
Natalie Johnston, MPT, Fellow in Pain Sciences, Lifestyle Medicine Certified, Founder
Natalie is an advanced clinical practitioner with over 24 years of physical therapy experience. She has worked across a wide variety of PT settings, which lets her meet most physical therapy needs, but her specialty is chronic and complex pain.
As a Therapeutic Pain Specialist and Pain Fellow, she has taken a deep dive into evidence-based pain science. She is equipped to help patients understand pain and reclaim control over their pain and their wellness goals, rather than just treating a symptom.
She brings an advanced understanding of the mind-body connection. Her 500-hour yoga instructor training and trauma-informed yoga certifications let her teach patients to self-regulate their nervous systems, blending traditional medical approaches with holistic ones. The people who do best here are the ones who fix things: their houses, their teams, their families. This is where they finally fix the thing they’ve been putting off: themselves.
“We are redefining healthcare by seamlessly integrating conventional medicine with holistic approaches, empowering you to take charge of your own well-being.”
What We Believe
No techs bouncing between rooms, no handoffs mid-visit. Just you and a licensed physical therapist, the whole time.
You’ve probably chased the pain itself before and never found why it started. We find the why, then the ache stops coming back.
You shouldn’t need a punch card. Every plan comes with a graduation date, so you always know how close you are.
Your job, your body, your goals: that’s what your plan is built around, never pulled from a generic sheet.

We’ve been treating North Liberty for 24+ years: your neighbors, your teammates, your kids’ coaches. The mom who’s been pushing through it so nobody else has to worry? She’s probably on our schedule too. Recovery is a lot more personal when it’s local.
