Physical Therapist Assistant
Hands on patients, not stationed at a machine watching four of them at once.
A PTA job where you actually treat.
You know the version where you are the safety net. Four patients on machines, a therapist two rooms over, and your job is to keep anybody from falling. You went to school for more than that.
Motion Matters Physical Therapy and Wellness is a woman-owned practice in North Liberty built on a different model. Here is the model: cause-first evaluation, one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist, every visit, and a plan with an endpoint. Nobody gets double-booked, which means when a patient is with you, they are with you.
The founder has 24 years of experience and a fellowship in pain science, and she is in the building. If you want to get better at your hands and at explaining pain to people, that matters more than any piece of equipment.
Send My Application. One email to the owner is the whole process. Details are at the bottom of this page.

Pay, benefits, and the parts people actually ask about
Compensation is competitive, and we talk about it with you directly instead of posting a number that means nothing. We would rather you not need a second job to make rent, because burnout costs everybody.
- Medical, dental and vision
- 401k
- Accrued PTO
- Holiday pay
- CEU reimbursement, and unlimited CEUs
- Structured mentorship, not a handshake and a login
- Flexible schedule, part-time or full-time, built around your life
Who this is not for
Coasting does not work in a small clinic. There is nowhere to hide, and that is the point. Stay where you are and next year looks exactly like this one.
