Patient Care Coordinator

Full-time in North Liberty, with real onboarding before you are handed the phones.

You are the first voice. Act like it matters, because it does.

You are good at this. You calm people down, you catch the claim error before it becomes a denial, you remember which patient hates Tuesdays. And somehow none of it gets noticed until something goes wrong.

That is the part we are trying to fix.

Motion Matters Physical Therapy and Wellness is a woman-owned practice in North Liberty. It exists because the founder was once a frustrated physical therapist who left to build a clinic that treated its staff as well as its patients. When a person in pain calls here, you are the one who tells them a real human is on the other end.

What the work looks like

  • Answering the phone like a person, and getting people scheduled.
  • Practice-management software: scheduling, patient records, reports.
  • Insurance and benefits legwork, so a patient never gets a surprise.
  • File maintenance and priority setting when three things need doing at once.
  • Extensive onboarding and training first, so you are confident in the role instead of guessing at it.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent skills and aptitude. Business school graduate preferred.
  • Basic computer courses or equivalent preparation.

Experience

  • Medical or business office front desk experience is desirable, not required.
  • Insurance claims processing or management is desirable, not required.

What we need from you

  • Practice-management software and Microsoft Word.
  • Attention to detail with numbers and data processing.
  • Communication skills: written, verbal, and face to face.
  • Organizational skills: priority setting, file maintenance, report generation.
  • Comfortable with patients of every age.

This job fits someone who is

  • Dependable, more reliable than spontaneous.
  • People-oriented, and glad about it.
  • Adaptable, because some days shift direction.
  • Detail-oriented, and loyal to the people next to you.

Pay, benefits, and the parts people actually ask about

Compensation is competitive, and we talk about it with you directly instead of posting a number that means nothing. We would rather you not need a second job to make rent, because burnout costs everybody.

  • Medical, dental and vision
  • 401k
  • Accrued PTO
  • Holiday pay
  • CEU reimbursement, and unlimited CEUs
  • Structured mentorship, not a handshake and a login
  • Flexible schedule, part-time or full-time, built around your life

Where this goes

Front desk is a starting point here, not a ceiling. There are paths into administration, marketing and clinic operations for someone who wants them. Nobody is going to fight you for staying in your lane.
